Start copy trading in 4 steps
Step 1: Go to the copy trading page
On the AlphaX website homepage, click "Copy trading" in the navigation bar.
Step 2: Select a lead trader
On the copy trading page, you can filter and choose your preferred lead trader in two ways:
1. "Featured" leaderboard:
This leaderboard features the platform's hand-picked, verified top lead traders. You can quickly identify and copy from the leading traders based on key metrics such as 30-day PnL, 30-day win rate, 30-day ROI, assets under management, and Sharpe ratio.
2. "All lead traders" leaderboard:
Click "All lead traders" to browse a wider selection of lead traders. You can compare data such as their PnL, win rate, and ROI over the past 7 days to choose the lead trader that best aligns with your investment preference.
*By clicking a lead trader's card to enter their profile page, you can view more detailed statistics and trading history.
Step 3: Set copy trading parameters
1. After clicking "Copy", select a margin mode:
- Fixed amount mode: Invest a fixed amount each time a position is opened, based on the trading signals.
- Fixed ratio mode: Calculate the amount for opening positions based on the ratio of the lead trader's position cost to the lead trader's total account balance.
2. Confirm investment amount
- Fixed amount mode: Set the "Total investment" (total amount for copy trading) and the "Amount per opening position" (the fixed amount for each copy).
- Fixed ratio mode: Only set the "Total investment" and the system will automatically calculate the amount for each copy based on the proportion.
3. Check to agree to the "Copy Trading Agreement" and click "Confirm"
Other optional settings:
- TP/SL ratio: Positions will be automatically closed when the preset ratio is reached.
- Margin mode: Choose "Cross", "Isolated", or "All" (copy both cross margin and isolated margin orders).
- Trading pair: Select the trading pairs you want to copy.
Step 4: Track copy trading performance
1. View copy trading data:
On the copy trading page, click "My copies" to view detailed data for "My lead traders", "Current copies", and "Copy history", including ROI, open positions, and PnL data.
2. Edit or stop copy trading:
To adjust your copy trading strategy, go to "My lead traders" and click "Edit" to modify parameters. To stop copying from a lead trader, click "Stop copying".
FAQ
Q1: Why are there copy trading accounts and lead trader accounts?
The copy trading account and the lead trader account are two independent sub-accounts under a USDT-M futures account.Lead traders can also copy trades from other lead traders. These two accounts are independent in both functionality and funds, with margin not shared between them. As a result, risks are isolated: the PnL of one account does not affect the liquidation risk of the other.
Q2: Will the open and close prices or profits of copy trades always be the same as the lead trader's?
Not exactly. Due to objective factors such as market fluctuations, depth changes, and system execution delays, we cannot guarantee that copy trades will match the lead trader's exactly in terms of open and close prices or timing, nor can we ensure that the profits will be identical to the lead trader's.
Q3: Where will the funds be returned after a copy trade ends?
After a copy trade ends, the remaining funds will be automatically returned to your USDT-M futures account. You can view the balance in that account.
Q4: Is there a minimum investment amount for futures copy trading?
Yes. You can manually close any copy trading positions at any time in the "Current copies" page.
Q5: Can positions be closed manually before the lead trader closes them?
Yes. You can manually close any copy trading positions at any time in the "Current copies" page.
Q6: What situations may cause a copy trade to fail?
Due to the lead trader:
The trading pair does not support copy trading.
The order is not fully executed.
Due to the copier:
Insufficient available margin caused by leverage changes or other factors.
Margin mode is inconsistent with the lead trader.
Position exceeds the maximum allowable size.
The margin calculated according to the position and proportion is insufficient to meet the minimum order size.
Other reasons:
System maintenance, network instability, abnormal market volatility, and other factors.
